CHRISTMAS PERFECT

With christmas time right around the conner, I felt it appropriate to share with you some of what I believe to be the best and quintessential music for the season. First of all, I have be honest although I believe that “All I want for christmas is you” is a staple in our generation for christmas music, but there are many other songs and cd’s that I believe are classic to the season and just as much of a staple. Not to undermine the greatness that is Mariah Carey’s “All I want for christmas is you” but when you have heard it 3 times within a half hour span at Macy’s its time to add some new songs to your playlist.  I will list 5 classic christmas songs and 5 incredible music remixes that will make for a perfect christmas play list.

Here is the my list for the best in christmas music :

1. Linus and Lucy ( A Charlie Brown Christmas) – This amazing Jazz tune written by Vince Guaraldi first debuted in 1964 on the Vince Guaraldi Trio’s Jazz Impressions A boy named Charlie brown and has remained of my favorite christmas songs.

2. Let it snow – Michael Bublé (Christmas Special Edition) – This upbeat jazz jam is a cover done by Michael Bublé this a song written by lyricist Sammy Cahn and composer Jule Styne in 1945, on coincidentally one of the hottest days on record in Hollywood, California.

3. Happy Christmas (War is over) – John Lennon – This song needs no introduction nor an explanation on this list, this christmas time classic a song written by John Lennon, released as a single in 1971 by John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and the Plastic Ono Band, is a timeless classic.

4.White Christmas/Bianco Natale – Andrea Bocelli (My Christmas) this beautifully composed song by Andrea Bocelli is perfect to have as a background song when being around those loved ones and having a nice glass of egg nogg. Its the essential christmas song.

5. Jingle Bell Rock – Bobby Helms first released by Bobby Helms in 1957. It has received frequent airplay in the United States during every Christmas time since then. A classic christmas song. A timeless one.
